Lily again! Just thought I’d show my latest design for summer, Blisco.

Pattern: Blisco, my own, hopefully to be released soon.

Yarn: Sirdar Calico in Chambray and Sirdar Baby Bamboo in Banjo Blue.

Needles: 3.75mm circulars and dpn’s.

There was a gap in my wardrobe for a simple, but well fitting, summer sweater. I really loved how the simultaneous set-in sleeves on Langdale fit me so well, and I wanted to use the same method on Blisco. A cool yoke construction and a vent detail at the hemline added interesting highlights to the neatness of the stocking stitch.

I-cord around the edges gives a really clean look; with this in mind I chose crisp summery colours and the highly contrasting buttons added the finishing touch.

Photographing Blisco proved quite a challenge, we had a mini heatwave here at the weekend and the bright sunshine washed out the blue a little bit. Forgive the varying tones in the photographs please! :D

It looks gorgeous Lily. The McCafferty I knit will be headed to Canada soon, I’m donating it to a friend so she can put it in her church’s silent auction. I might have to knit myself another one at a later date :)
