ishbels

We’ve just had a week in the Lake District and Lily and I decided to have a mini Ishbel KAL whilst we were away. The green version is mine and the purple Lily’s. We both totally love them.

This photoshoot gives Lily a chance to show off her new hairstyle. A bit more grown-up I think.

I love how this looks tied around Lily’s dress.

We’re on a bit of a shawl kick here at the moment. I’ve just cast on an Ulmus too – be back with photos of that later in the week.

Both shawls are so pretty ! And Lily as well !
Oh my, those are beautiful! Love the new haircut.
Both shawls are lovely, but I must admit I’m a bit more partial to the purple! Hum. I have a skein or two of sock yarn hanging about what to do what to do…..
BTW, Lily’s new haircut suits her very well!
gorgeous examples of Ishbel — I’ve just started one in summer cotton and I think your examples show much more elegance! It is a NICE pattern, too!
they’re both gorgeous. my favourite colours are purple and green so i’m struggling to pick a favourite. i just got a similar haircut too, so i’m another fan of that! if you’d just posted the pictures without saying that it was your own knitting, i would have been fully convinced they were “official” type photos for the pattern. she should be a model!
Oh they are both gorgeous. Your daughter really amazes me each time I see her projects. It must be so much fun knitting together. Her haircut does make her look much more grown up too, so nice. I love the purple color on her too.
lovely both,Amanda, but I am partial to the dark as well…and love Lily’s hair!!
lovely ishbel’s ladies and Lily’s hair is gorgeous!!!

Love the shawls. Love the new “do”.
Tha shawls are lovely, especially the green one. And Lily – you look great in this new hairstyle!
Love them both! I too am knitting this pattern, but your yarn choices are much better than mine! I will definitely have to try again when I am finished the current one.
Okay, now I have to order that pattern! (gosh darn it)
LOVE IT!!
What a fun knit along! And with beautiful results.
Does Lily get to keep both shawls? They seem just the right size for her.

wonderful job the two of you!!! I love them both, it’s amazing what a difference the yarn and color makes, almost like two totally different projects. I love that you can have a knit along together! And Lily, the hair is so great! Love it!!

These are really nice. Great pattern and colours.
Lily’s hair is sassy! Quite grown up indeed
I can’t decide between the 2 – both gorgeous . The new hairstyle is definately more grown up , but still very cute. We were in the Lakes last week too – Ullswater . It’s gorgeous isn’t it?
Such cute shawls and so feminine. Love the new hairstyle -definitely grown up. I love them both. The purple looks a little dressier and the green would be amazing with jeans and a cute t-shirt. You two are soooo talented.
wowowow!! Such a clever daughter! Both shawls are gorgeous..I have just finished an Ishbel, it is a darling pattern!
They are both beautiful! She looks so lovely with her grown up hair! Perfect for modeling Ishbel.
Both are really beautiful, difficult to pick a favourite. I have this on my to do list and am dying to have a go.
Love the haircut too!
Wow, your two shawls have completely changed my mind about knitting Ishbel. I thought it was lovely, but it hadn’t floated my boat, but now I think I may have to knit it. Lily’s hair is fantastic! I still say modelling…
Fabulous, both of them! I’m itching to cast on for a new shawl too at the moment, but I’m caught in a waiting-for-the-perfect yarn trap! Lily’s new haircut is gorgeous too – very elegant.
They are so pretty! Every version of that shawl is stunning! (and I love Lily’s new haircut:)
Lovely haircut and very cute shawls! I really like the jewel-coloured version – it almost looks like it should be found on a coral reef!
These are beautiful! And Lily looks lovely too, nice haircut!
Lily: you are fantastic!!! Your new hairs cut is wonderful!!! And you seems a little woman in these pics!!
Regarding the shawls: gorgoeus! i love their patterns and colors!

The shawls are so pretty and delicate. Love the hair too Lily.
You two are amazing. I am still just beginning mine and you are already moving on. They turned out beautifully.
Those are beautiful! A great haircut for Lily too! I’d cut back on the stockinette too to do the lace.
Gorgeous Ishbells! What a lovely new hair cut, it suits you really well, Lily!
I must say I’m very partial to the green one… green is my favourite colour.
Oh no! Lily’s gotten herself into lace! Great job Lily and Mom. It’s wonderful that you two can knit together like this.
