After umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether to brave the crowds or not, I finally bit the bullet and went christmas shopping today. My plan is to bake as many gifts as possible (especially for those impossible to buy for, ahem, Dad) but I still had a few little bits and pieces to pick up. Edible gifts won’t do for everything! I’d love to have the time to handmake all pressies, but this year I think cards are as much as I’ll manage. Shopping for others is fun though! I enjoyed choosing a few treats for my secret santa friend, and I hope she’ll like them.

Speaking of lack of time… big up to everyone doing #blogmas! Well done. Dedication right there! Annoyingly I’ve not been able to post as often as I’d like in the last couple of weeks because mock exams and coursework has meant that school has taken priority. Just the way it has to be. Only 2 more weeks, only 2 more weeks…

Anyhow, don’t Topshop make the most fabulous coats! Funny how items of clothing trigger random memories – I remember back in 2010 (I think), me and my mum searched high and low for this coat after seeing it in a different size, and after ringing about 20 branches of Topshop, they finally had it in my size at the Lancaster branch. I remember how we planned a family day trip to Lancaster around picking up this coat! Definitely a worthy ordeal 😉 Since then I’ve grown slightly taller, so it sits perfectly knee length now. Just how I like it.

On seeing these photos I realised I’m ticking all the blogger cliche boxes: pop of colour (shirt), clashing prints (leopard belt and argyle tights) and wearing red-ish lipstick. Ok so other people do wear red lipstick but you know what I mean 😉 Although it hasn’t translated brilliantly on camera, I do adore the colour of this lipstick. (Creamy Matte Lip Colour in ‘Crushed Plum’ by Bobbi Brown). Please don’t shoot me, but personally I prefer Bobbi Brown to MAC. Stays put all day, yay!

Thinking of borrowing this tshirt. Probably wouldn’t pull it off as well though!

Friday night we decorated the tree! Tinsel and matchy-matchy isn’t really our thing; in our house the tree is always jam packed with random decorations we’ve accumulated. ‘Wacky Angel’ aka. a paper plate creation of 6 year old me is still going strong. Festive decorations make the house feel so much cosier!
