Recurring pink theme going on here you reckon?  My mum and I only realised after starting all our recent projects that every single one has been pink, white, or various shades in between.  Calling this a ‘grungy’ style jumper might be a tad OTT (everything else has been super girly though!), but this Wildfox-esque laddered jumper is definitely more relaxed than our other pink projects. Casual and sloppy is where it’s at for now. 😀 The pattern is actually for a men’s garment – hence the oversized fit.  (Ravelry knitterly details here).  I love how the ladders turned out, and after plenty messing around, knitting, and redoing, I managed to alter the neckline to a V-neck, just at the right depth for me.  Gotta be at least a little bit girly. :p

Bright sunshine unfortunately masked the engraving of my initials here, however the subtelty is what I like best about it.  GettingPersonal kindly offered me an item from their personalised jewellery range, and I love the simplicity of this locket.  Dainty-ish-but-not-too-tiny necklaces are perfect for wearing really casually I’d say!

Whilst wearing this jumper during the day I caught my finger on one of the ladders and panicked, thinking I’d not finished the seams properly and the whole thing was about to unravel.  I’m not sure whether that means the distressed design is convincing, or I’m just a dimwit (I did make half the thing myself, after all).  Who knows. ;D

Oh! That looks fantastic on you!! Earthly is a great hit at our house. My man made one for himself out of possum merino wool. And I was all envious wondering if I should make a ladies version for myself. Now he is making another (he doesn’t spend much time looking for new patterns) in Icelandic Lett Lopi natural black. This should look very rustic and manly. The runs look so fun to make and I’m considering using them in another sweater.

It is a lovely design! Possum merino wool sounds so cosy. Go for it and make yourself one! It’s almost embarrassingly satisfying dropping the laddered stitches haha 🙂
