sheer-tshirt0stripy-skirt Who’s been to see the new Hunger Games already?  Isn’t it amazing?  If not, you definitely won’t be disappointed, I promise.  Even better than the first film!

I chose this super-comfy-but-kinda-made-an-effort outfit for our sunday  cinema date.  Gotta leave room for inevitable post movie lattes.  I now see why graphic tees are so popular: this River Island beauty adds a bit of interest to a simple outfit don’t you think?  Sheer material always has a touch of dressiness to basics, without looking like you tried to hard.  I’ve never quite understood why some people go all out with heels and dresses for the cinema – you’re going to be sat down in the dark eating popcorn after all!

black-mesh-tshirt Cheeky me with my bra peeking through!  Forget the ‘rules’, this top would have been nowhere near as pretty with a camisole underneath so I just didn’t bother.  Only if the bra is pretty too, of course 😉  What do you think about this kind of thing?  Should bra straps never be seen?

katniss-plait Observant Hunger Games fans may have noticed my ‘Katniss braid’ – my little ‘tribute’ (har har) if you will!  After the first film was released I lost count of the number of times I was told I “looked like the girl from the Hunger Games”, which I definitely took as a compliment seeing as Jennifer Lawrence is so gorgeous!  Not sure to what extent there is a resemblance.

What you think?

What you think? ‘Lily Everdeen’ maybe? 😉

brunette-plait-graphic-tee Hope you all had a lovely weekend!  I’ve had a pretty good start to the week with a school trip to see GCSE Science Live in Manchester, which was really interesting and entertaining for nerds like me.  As I type I’m watching a documentary by Jim Al-khalili who gave a fascinating talk today on the subject of time travel.  Strange watching someone on TV who I saw in real life only hours ago!

You look so lovely! This outfit is adorable, and I love your jacket! Ahh, even though I gushed all about it in my last post, I just have to agree that Catching Fire was so amazing! I also agree with you about people who dress up for the movies- what’s the point? And you definitely resemble Jennifer Lawrence. I see it, haha. 🙂
