Running white horses travel and lifestyle blog by Carina Chung

Haven’t been sharing enough bloggy love round here lately!  You’re probably all sick of my face anyway so here’s some other lovely faces to look at and blogs to peruse.  They’re a right ol’ mix of my newly discovered crushes and long time favourites, but all are girls with a knack for making their sites addictive.  Some ‘big’ bloggers who I feel deserve recognition ’cause they’re doing a damn good job; some up and coming bloggers (also doing a damn good job) who I feel are really onto something good, in one way or another.

I’ve included screenshots of their Instagrams for an idea of their vibes.  Clicking the photos will take you to their feed.  I’m helpful like that.

superlatively rude blog by Laura Jane Williams

Superlatively Rude – Laura Jane Williams

My most favouritest bloggers everrrr are the honest ones.  Ain’t nobody got time for sugar coating stuff.  Laura’s doesn’t hold back on the blood, sweat and tears side of things, yet writes in a beautifully story-telling kinda way too.  Her blog’s an adult environment and she doesn’t hold back, which I love.  Posts detailing how much money she makes, incredibly honest tales of relationships and general musings about life (always good’ens) make you feel like you really know this girl, even if you’ve never spoken.  Unlike most bloggers she doesn’t allow comments on her blog posts, which I think reflects her ‘I’ll write whatever I want and nobody’s gonna tell me not to’ attitude.  I challenge you to click through and not lose a good half hour reading post after post after post.

Oh and her witty Instagram captions make me laugh.

oh hey there rachel blog by Rachel Farrell

Oh Hey There Rachel – Rachel Farrell

Now Rachel’s blog isn’t a new discovery of mine but I’m loving her style even more lately.  She makes those palazzo pants and flowers crown look soooo good!  Her blog’s a lovely mix of slick layout and stylish-but-realistic teen fashion.  Definitely one to watch in the next year, I’m predicting!

Bash says Hey blog by Bash Harry

Bash Says Hey – Bash Harry

First of all, Bash is absolutely lovely.  She leaves the sweetest comments and I’d like to think we’ve become good ‘internet friends’ halfway across the world!   And oh my days is she beautiful or what?  Her style’s sometimes quirky (kitty cat hats) and sometimes elegant, and she certainly knows what she’s doing with a makeup brush.  I love the way she writes, too.  Not OTT wordy, but conveys exactly how she feels in a simple yet effective way.

The Little Magpie blog Amy Spencer

The Little Magpie – Amy Spencer

If you haven’t noticed Amy, where in the bloggosphere have you been hiding?  She’s one of the ‘big’ bloggers on my list but her posts remain relatable and funny so I continue to read.  She comes across sassy, and I like that.  I want every single one of her outfits – Amy’s fashion sense is seriously good.  Oh and I’m insanely jealous of her Crete trip too – I read Victoria Hislop’s ‘The Island’ a couple of years ago and have wanted to visit Spinalonga ever since!

Willow Tea blog by Rachel Coleman

Willow Tea – Rachel Coleman

Another blogger my age who’s posts are so relatable!  Rachel’s writing is short and sweet and she just seems like the lovely ‘girl next door’ I wanna be friends with.  Posts like this make me love her outlook on life.

Gingerly Pale blog by Jessica Armstrong

Gingerly Pale – Jessica Armstrong

Apparently Northern Irish bloggers are a theme amongst my faves!  Jess’ is the perfect kinda blog to satisfy my nosy nature.  There’s something I really enjoy about her ‘Simple Sunday’ posts too – I’m all for finding happiness in the little things, and reading about the little things that made others happy makes me look out for more little things to be happy about too.  Ok so that made no sense whatsoever.  Just go read.

Raspberry and Red blog by Weronika Zalazinska

Raspberry and Red – Weronika Zalazinska

Isn’t Weronika’s feed so pretty?  Everything tones together so nicely and is pleasing to the eye.  I hesitate to say ‘aestheic’ ’cause that term is used to describe pretty much anything these days, but she definitely has that ‘look’!  You know the one I mean.  Anyway, I’ve followed Raspberry and Red since around the time I started blogging (mid 2013) and remain a loyal reader thanks to Weronika’s beautiful, beautiful photography, chatty writing style and endless adventures.

World of Wanderlust blog by Brooke Saward

World of Wanderlust – Brooke Saward

Hands up who wants Brooke’s life?  I’ve really been getting into reading travel blogs lately, World of Wanderlust being one of my faves.  This girl manages to get around a bit, wow!  As well as inspiring travel posts, she writes fab blogging tips and guides, and has a fun YT channel too.

Running white horses blog by Carina Chung

Running White Horses – Carina Chung

Another travel blogger, surprise surprise!  I’m amazed Carina doesn’t have hundreds of thousands of followers already ’cause her feed’s just breathtaking.  Those blue skies and picturesque views!  Her blog’s a lovely account of her discoveries, written in a friendly diary-like style and with plenty helpful information.

La Petite Noob – Joelle Anello

Tbh I don’t actually read many American/Canadian fashion blogs – loads of my old faves have gone really ‘editorial’ and made it so ‘big’ that they’re not really relatable any more.  Not Joelle’s though!  She tows the line between slick, pretty imagery (on a slick, pretty blog) and friendly writing just right.  This post on Blogger FOMO is a perfect example.

As of now I’m gonna make this a regular thing – I know ‘my favourite bloggers’ isn’t the most original post idea but sharing positivity can’t do any harm!  My faves are constantly changing so I’ll be back next month with a new batch that I’m fangirling and you should all go fangirl too.

Tell me who your current favourite bloggers are!

Nice selections! I think there will be a lot to check out. I read not as many blogs as I used to and I find the slick and formulaic getting kind of boring. I read a lot, buy mostly looking for things and not finding them. I am pretty into YouTube these days. My interests change too. I used to read cycling and bicycle riding type blogs, (Bike Snob NYC, if you want to know) and that was more of a preoccupation than knitting. Now I am getting into music, looking for ukelele chords for Love is Easy, or Your Cheating Heart, or whatever I want to play. I miss the old knitting blogs, you know the basic, look at me knitting a sleeve, type of thing.

I am on the lookout for interesting writing and nothing too businessy.

Thanks Max! I know what you mean about the ‘too slick’ ones getting kind of boring.
I remember those knitting blogs – where each project would appear 5 times before it was actually finished! Would seem strange to post like that these days haha 😛
Nothing too businessy will be coming this way, don’t you worry 😀

EEEP! My face is there! Thank you so much for your sweet words, Lily! Haha! We are great internet friends! Gosh, how can you say I’m beautiful when you’re in the world? It’s insane!

I don’t know any of the bloggers except for Rachel from Willow Tea, who is awesome. I can’t wait to check everyone else out! <3

Thanks Fatima! I didn’t want this to be a ‘filler’ kind of post, so I’m glad the effort is appreciated 😀
