Quick trip to town to try on my prom dress (!) yesterday and all went well! Less than a month to go now so being excited is acceptable, you reckon? I *think* everything is sorted, but I still need to figure out what on earth I’m gonna do with my hair and makeup. Any recommendations?
We fancied brunch, so finally tried out this ‘Mystery Tea House’ whilst in town, too. Either I’m just a navigational moron or it lives up to its name, as it took us a while to actually find the place from the signpost. It’s a really quirky cute atmosphere, which is always good in my book. First and foremost, tea (obviously); caramel vanilla for us, and my ‘vegan kezelt’ was eaten too quickly to photograph.
So far this week I’ve been into school twice, had some limited but really fun downtime (good company does that ;D ) and finally set myself back on track with a ‘detox week’ if you will. Morning FitnessBlender videos in the back room and ditching the chocolate mainly so not quite a juice cleanse, but it’s good enough for me! Now time to put my productive head firmly on and crack on for the rest of the weekend. English Language exam is Tuesday (urghhhh) so I need to go revise writing good words. Yayyy. The sun’s shining so good luck to me with that one!

31st May 2014 at 2:00 pmHey there Lily! A few days ago I crocheted a scrunchie with flowers for a friend, and it happens to give a cute formal touch to a simple bun, you should think about it! Try searching for “scrunchie” on Ravelry, there’s a lot of Japanese charts (no need to understand Japanese to read it though!) you can use as an inspiration 🙂
Otherwise, how about a French twist? It might be a bit formal but there’s a lot of variations that can improve it, and I wish I had such an updo for my own prom!

16th June 2014 at 2:48 pmoo thanks for recommending this! I wear scrunchies all the time so it’d be great to make one! A frnch twist sounds like a good idea too :p
