my summer

Little bit late as it’s September already but here I am with holiday pictures!  I do apologise for being so late as we’ve had a multitude of techie problems to deal with but here we are eventually. cornwallcollage2 Back in July we spent the first week of the summer holidays in Perranporth, Cornwall, and had an amazing time surfing, chilling on the beach and hanging out at the beach bar in the evenings.  One morning at the surf school and several days practice later and I’d like to think we were fairly pro 😉 Maybe not quite, but check me out standing up on the far left!

corn41 Another lovely beach we visited on the north Cornish coast was Holywell Bay, a cute little tucked away cove.  My Laika hoodie from a while ago happened to match the bright blue sea and sky beautifully.

cornwallcollage1 How stunning is the view from holiday home?  This window was the perfect spot for tide watching. cornwall1 10 days later and Dan, his mum and I flew to southern Germany to visit their family.  To make the most of the sunshine we spent lots of time outside – relaxing around open air swimming pools, exploring the mountains and forests and enjoying a spot of retail therapy in cities such as Augsburg and Stuttgart.

germanycollage Another day trip we made was to the Austrian Alps, a breathtaking sight to say the least.  I think the pictures speak for themselves here!  Definitely the stereotypical sunglasses-clad, shutter;happy cable-car taking tourist on this day!

alpscollage Leipzig was our final stop for the last few days of the holiday, where we visited the zoo, had fun exploring the city and basked in more glorious sunshine.  Leipzig Zoo itself was giant; I don’t think I quite managed to do it justice with these photos.  Aquarium photography is one hell of a challenge I tell you. zoo collage (Think I belong with the giraffes looking at the length of my neck there haha 😉 ) leipzigcollage Such a beautiful city, even the walls are covered with cool art!

Anyway I hope you all enjoyed your summer as much as I enjoyed mine, stay tuned for a couple of design posts hopefully coming soon!
