when i grow up i want to be…

… just like these three!  In keeping with my goal to become even more immersed in this blogging community, I thought I’d share the love with a new ‘favourite bloggers of the month’ series.  This first installment has three very different bloggers, as my taste in reads is pretty varied, but all have such a strong, positive image and I think they make great role models!

World Tour Stories

Taru’s blog is fascinating.  When I first stumbled upon World Tour Stories, the amazing pictures of tropical beaches, Caribbean delicacies and Taru’s gorgeous beachwear (on a killer body) had me hooked and I read back through months of sailing adventures.  Even for someone who’s barely even tested their sea legs, this blog is an addictive read.  I find the deeper, spiritual writing so interesting, as well as posts about her all-natural, vegan lifestyle and meditation.  Amongst all the other fashion and personal blogs I follow, its nice to mix things up a bit and read from someone with a different lifestyle and views on life, that are expressed so beautifully.

The Freckled Fox

I mentioned Emily’s blog in my ‘goals for 2014’ post, as I can’t help but find her always positive, go go go posts so inspiring!  And I really want her hair.  If only I was a natural redhead 😉  She posts tons of pretty hair tutorials, so I’ll have to do my best with those for now!  I love how there’s such a mix of everything on her blog: Emily talks about her 4 kids under 3 (!) and their adventures, glamourous OOTDs, hair and beauty tutorials, playlists, photography, and all sorts.  How she manages to juggle everything and look so prettily put together is beyond me, and I’m a 16 year old high schooler, obviously with no kids of my own!  I actually really enjoy reading Emily’s motherhood posts haha!  If upbeat, lifestyle blogs with lots of pretty pictures are your thing (and you’ve been living under a rock), then I’d hop over to this one.

Not Dressed as Lamb

I discovered Catherine’s blog when searching for blogging tips on pinterest… I clicked through and spent about 2 hours browsing the archives!  Her outfits are always perfectly styled to be that little bit different, but still very classic, and despite the age difference I’d wear everything she wears.  Ageless style most definitely.  In addition to outfits, I also love the ‘musings’ section of her blog; posts like this honest review of what LFW is really like are really informative and entertaining at the same time! Not only is Catherine’s blog so lovely, but she’s been so supportive of me and very helpful when I’ve had little confusions with this blogging lark.  Thanks so much Catherine!

I’m always looking for new blogs to add to my list so let me know if you have any recommendations!

Lily I’m so flattered that you included me – it’s wonderful to know you’ve inspired anyone, but from one so young it’s even better!! I don’t know these other two bloggers so it will great to check them out. I love your positive outlook my dear, keep it up 🙂
