Yay for bright yellow coats making miserable grey days slightly more bearable! I’ve had this coat for years and I still love it, so this is my take on the statement coat trend. Anybody else still wear clothes they’ve had since primary school haha? Finally found some flattering dungarees on me too; the usual looser it dungarees make me look slightly more toddler-ish than I’d like but the super skinny cut of these keeps me in teenager realm I think. And of course Breton striped tops are a no brainer with everything, quite cute with a ‘lil snippet of leopard I find 🙂
I’m still wearing this Kentmere cowl I designed a few years back too (pattern here), as its built in twists and loops keep it squished right up round my neck and we can’t leave wrapping up warm to chance in this crappy weather!
Coat: Next
Dungarees: H&M
Top: Matalan
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Topshop (borrowed from mama)
Cowl: hand knit
As you can probably tell from the car park photos I wore this outfit for a quick retail park trip with my mum, where I was good and only bought a hat. I’m justifying it as an early birthday present to myself – it’s my 16th next week so that’s a valid excuse right?
Hope you’ve all had a nice day despite the miserable weather! bye for now:)
