currently I’m…

teen-blogger

Wearing… more charity shop items!  This top, to be precise.  Amongst others, that is – I been busy thriftin’ this week I have.  This beauty set me back a whole £1.80. 🙂  Along with the rest of the population I’m quite liking the whole 70s-inspired (well, loosely inspired) thing right now and I think today’s garb fits that rather nicely.  The top could well be from the 70s for all I know.  And now I’ve just gone off on a tangent and found myself googling ABBA fashion and I think that’s a sign to leave that one there.

Reading… Moon Dust by Andrew Smith.  I keep starting books and just not getting into them for some reason, but this one seems good so far.  It’s too easy to end up aimlessly browsing my phone or laptop in bed, and that’s badddd.  Just always feels like there’s so much to catch up on – posts to read, feeds to scroll, etc. etc. – and if I don’t browse then I might miss a fab post from one of my fave bloggers or something, and then I’d feel guilty.  The internet is too bloody humoungous, basically.  Aren’t you supposed to switch off electronics an hour before bed to get a proper night’s sleep or something?  Sure I read that somewhere.  Probably whilst browsing my phone in bed, the irony.  Books though, books are good!  Now if only I could read more than 20 pages before nodding off…

Playing… thoughts playing over and over in my head, like an internal debate with myself that I never seem to win.  Making decisions is impossible sometimes when no option is 100% right.

Watching… GoPro videos.  Watch this space, s’all I’m saying!

Smelling… Vera Wang Princess, my go-to scent.  My friends are the best at choosing perfumes for me.

Trying… (on) jeans/trousers/leggings that won’t go past my bum.  And that’s only if they’ll go over my quads.  Squats problems for ya.  Sometimes even the weird skinny jeans dance doesn’t cut it.

Cooking… really yummy, but really unphotogenic food.  The best tasting stuff usually looks like a pile of god-knows-what on camera.  Hence lack of evidence.

Eating… veggie burgers (I’m not vegetarian, just a chickpea and tzatziki fan); birthday cake; aforementioned awful banana bread; lemon curd flavoured yoghurts from Aldi that are so damn good; the list goes on.  I like my food.

Drinking… Tesco Finest Still Lemonade, and loving it.  Besides coffee, tea, the odd glass of wine, and more coffee.  Obviously.

Calling… the usual friends and family, plus a couple of new ‘contacts’ because speaking on the phone is so much easier sometimes.  I stand my ground on the importance of actual spoken words.

Pinning… does organising my Pinterest feed count?  Possibly the greatest procrastination known to man but hey, it looks neat now.  That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back.

Tweeting… no Twitter chats this week, my bad!  Must rectify that soon.

Thanking… the few lovely, lovely, people that have messaged me with kind words, having seen me around but we’ve never actually spoken before.  You made me all heart eye emoji!  And thank you to my mummy for taking my blog photos too – you da best and I really do appreciate it.  Really.

Scrapping… dusty old draft blog posts that just wouldn’t feel right any more.  In a ‘who in their right mind would read THAT’ kind of way.

Crafting… nothing.  This has been the first week in a long time that I haven’t actually made anything!  Crafty time has been taken with wedding outfit alterations.

Doing… planning fun stuff!  Like, actually making proper plans rather than airy fairy ones.

Going… to my first yoga class.  ‘Yoga Relax Meditation’, to be precise.  I enjoyed it, and definitely did feel calm afterwards (and then had to walk home in the rain – not so relaxing) but I’m not sure it’s quite for me.  Yoga comes in many forms though, so I’m sure I’ll find The One.  I’m thinking a more flexibility based class might be more my style.  I like to leave the gym with my muscles feeling like they’ve actually done something, you know?

Loving… hydrangeas in the front garden.  It’s like Pinterest came to life every time I open the gate.

Hating… shops selling autumn/winter clothes already.  They’re all cosy and warm and fuzzy and all those nice wintery feels, but please not yet!  Let us continue in our denial that a proper summer is yet to come, yeah?

Discovering… that people are crap sometimes, and expect more from you than they’d ever give back.  Fact of life I guess.

Enjoying… having all day every day to do whatever I choose.  Bye bye, routine.

Thinking… about everything but results day.  OK so that statement’s an oxymoron in itself, but I’ve barely given August 13th a thought.   I’m not really that fussed, in all honesty.  Obviously I’d like good grades to know that all the masses (and masses… and masses) of revision and work throughout the year paid off, but if they’re not quite what I’d hoped for, then at least I tried my best.  I don’t need the grades for uni entry requirements or anything, so as long as I’m happy personally, that’s all that matters really.

Feeling… trusted.  Not every bride will hand over their wedding dress to a teen to make alterations.

Hoping (for)… sun.  Or more specifically, sun that actually sticks around for longer than half an hour.

Listening (to)… comforting background noise of my brother’s TV programmes or mum’s music.  I don’t actually mind being home alone and rather enjoy my own company sometimes, but other times it’s just nice to hear evidence that your family are just ‘there’.  Those same times that silence is exactly not what you want.

Wondering…  how the &*%£ it’s taken me so long to string together a blog post today.  My frame of mind just isn’t quite ‘there’ – I want to write and write and write some more but it’s not quite happening.  You can have all the motivation in the world but just struggle to actually express it sometimes, I’ve found.

Celebrating… absolutely nothing, unfortunately.

Considering… expectations, and if I should even have any.

Finishing… this weird catchup/outfit post, finally!  I decided against a whole post about my outfit because, well, there’s hardly any styling ingenuity going on.  Just felt my fab little bargain piece deserved a feature!

Starting… to think a little differently.  About myself, people in my life, blogging, LIFE.

Aww what a fun article to read! Might sound meaningless but it’s actually really refreshing to read such miscellaneous things!
Yoga’s great, isn’t it? 🙂 I used to take a few classes with a friend, poses hurt a bit but afterwards we did some relaxation exercices which were soooo soothing! And then my friend and I used to go to a restaurant to have a cheap and light meal, and then on to some deep sleep! I missed that, I might consider finding a new class where I live starting September! Oh and walking through the rain can be relaxing, especially when you had a huge heatwave just before haha!
Setting up one’s Pinterest (or Tumblr, or anything like that) is never lost time! Because once it’s well-organized, you can find anything you need in no time!
Also, thrift-shopping is the best thing ever! There is one thrift shop in Paris named Kilo Shop, because you pay according to the weight of what you buy, and I always find awesome stuff there! Last week I even got myself a summer kimono, I’ve always missed the opportunity to get a genuine one for myself so I was extremely thrilled to buy one for less than €20! (let’s say about £30-35?) It’s usually pretty much expensive!

Haha that was such a long comment, I haven’t been commenting for a while! Life’s been crazy and stuff 🙂

Yayyy I’m glad you liked reading it! I didn’t think I could write a full post about any of these things, so just stuck them all in one haha 🙂
I really want to try more different yoga! This particular class didn’t have ‘poses’ as such but was more based on breathing, which I think is why I wasn’t sure if it’s for me. I actually like being outside in the rain sometimes too – if I’m out for a run and aren’t bothered about staying dry, I don’t mind it. When I’m in town doing something wearing jeans, it’s so horrible getting soaked!
I’m obsessed with thrift shopping at the minute! I’ve found so many great bargains that I can’t wait to share.
Haha I love your long comments! They make me smile to read 😀
      Hope you’re well!
