november writing challenge | day 7 | & BIRTHDAYYY!

Apologies for being a day behind!  It’s ma birthdayyyy today and I went out for a meal with friends last night, so forgive me!  I’ll catch up soon, just been having a fabulous birthday so not stressing over posting on time. 😀   17 now, sounds a lot older than 16 haha.  I took my camera out to our meal and only realised once we were there that I’d forgotten a CF card (classic Lily right there) so only iPod Instagram photos for that one sadly.  As for my birthday itself, I’ve had an amazing day with amazing people and lots of lovely presents!  Thank you everybody so much, you know who you are. ;D  I even had happy birthday sung to me by about 30 8 year olds at dancing this morning too, which was sooo cute.  I’m still in a bit of a buzz atm, just been a really good weekend!

Anyway, writing challenge day 7!

“List 5 things you wish you had with you today.”

  • Typical I know, but an umbrella definitely!  My hair immediately goes to frizzy weird curly in the rain and that’s just the end of the world.   Every single time I forget to take a brolly, it pours it down. Or it’s ‘that fine rain that soaks you through’, as Peter Kay would say.  I laugh far too much at Peter Kay.
  • An extra 2 or 3 arms would’ve come in handy too yesterday haha, my bag is soo heavy!  The amount of stuff we all lug around every day is ridiculous.  I don’t really take anything unnecessary at all, but somehow my bag always feels like it’s filled with bricks.
  • A couple of friends who couldn’t make Friday night.  Shame they couldn’t make it for my birthday but I’ll be seeing them soon so all is good!  We had such a fun time and I was a total squealy girl haha.

Now I’m racking my brains trying to think of something else I wish I had with me, and failing miserably!  Never mind.

coat and skirt: Topshop | jumper: New Look | boots: Preston market

Outfit wise, these were a few quick snaps before college on Friday morning.  What else could late starts be for? ;D  Over the knee boots seem to be having a moment and I already have this pair from last year, so I thought I’d try dressing them down a little.  Could be kinda OTT for college without the baggy jumper and loose skirt haha.  And, of course, my favourite winter coat of all time, that isn’t actually that warm at all and has no hood but is just great anyway, so y’know.  No new items in this outfit (photos were pre-birthday) but birthday girl struck lucky with fabby presents that I’ll definitely share soon!

I’ll stop with the excessive exclamation marks now.  I’m having a good day, can you tell?

Thank you! I almost always backcomb it and pin a section up, it’s very simple really!
I don’t know how paper and pens and things can weigh so much!
