Nothing new that I’m slightly obsessed with bodysuits! You’d think I’d have added another couple to my collection already based on the amount I’ve banged on about them, but nope – just this one so far. Unless you count my old ballet leotard.  Haven’t found any others that fit yet! #Tallgirlproblems strikes again. A too-short bodysuit ain’t a pretty sight. Literally feels like you’re trying to squish into a child’s babygrow. Sexy. So instead of a ‘3 favourite bodysuits’ post, I thought I’d go for ‘3 ways to style a bodysuit’ instead, whilst the hunt continues. Just call me Gok Wan y’know. Mine isn’t available online anymore but it’s from Topshop, if anybody’s interested!
Look 1
trousers: TU at Sainsbury’s | shoes: Clarks
Couldn’t really get more basic but no harm in keeping it simple sometimes, eh? This was the very outfit I wore to college on the day of the first physics practical exam, which went horrifically badly so let’s not dwell on that. Smart outfit vibes didn’t extend to my brain that day, evidently! Black trousers are my faves for when I want to feel a little more ‘put together’ for want of a better phrase, and this TU at Sainsbury’s pair fit really well AND are super comfy so win-win. Black loafers are comfy smart too, and I quite like the whole grey/black outfit against a tan. Dull clothes against pale skin makes me look ghostly pale so yeah, a tan ~might~ have magically appeared overnight!
Look 2
I’d say we’re talking meal out with the girls or date night with this one. Love me a midi skirt, either way! Bodycon means it feels kinda dressy but the midi length means you’re not worrying what’s on show at all times. Short skirt paranoia is the WORST. Tbh I’ve worn this particular one with everything from Batman t-shirts to strappy pink camisoles, so I’d say it scores pretty highly on versatility. Go buy a denim midi skirt, I urge you! As for the shoes, I bought them thinking they’d be great as a summer ‘go with everything’ heel, which was fine, until I realised they’re the most damn painful heels EVER. I don’t even know how – they’re not even strappy or stupidly high or anything! Look good but hurt lots. Such is life.
skirt: Primark | shoes: Saints & Sinners
Long sleeves with short shorts because let’s face it, shorts and strappy tops are appropriate for about 3 days in June and that’s it! I love how super high-waisted this Primark pair are – always a flattering style. Could really ramp up the vintage Americana vibes with red and white stripes, or keep it simple with a plain grey bodysuit, whatever floats your boat.
shorts: Primark | shoes: New Look
Now to wish it was quite warm enough to wear such short shorts out the house without getting goosebumps. In the meantime I’m off to kick my backside with leg day – something about feeling your quads and glutes burn is deeply satisfying. Makes finding jeans that fit even more of a struggle, but strong legs make me happy!

21st April 2016 at 3:36 pmAha! I have always wondered how certain well dressed “ladies” keep everything tucked in and smooth. A bodysuit of course! Maybe it will do to have just one for now. It will be too hot in a week or so and you can wear those cropped tops and camisoles, right?

25th April 2016 at 5:33 pmBodysuits hide all the secrets muhahaha! I highly doubt it’ll be too hot for more than 3 hours in the middle of June in England, but I can dream ;D
