Now I know why video is the way to go for beauty bloggers! The amount of faffing about involved in blogging never fails to astound me. I don’t consider myself a beauty guru by any means but I thought I’d share with you one of my favourite looks – bit more than I’d wear for everyday, bit less than I’d wear for a night out. I’ve used a couple of higher end products and a couple of high street basics.
A quick run down of what I used:
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ivory Nude – provides plenty of coverage, but it’s pretty heavy so I don’t tend to wear it day after day.
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Ivory – they might be masquerading as little shadows in these shots but my undereye circles really need this concealer!
Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Radiant Rose – who doesn’t love something you can slap on with your fingers?
Urban Decay Naked 2 palette – I don’t know how I ever did my makeup without this palette. Today I used ‘Bootycall’ as a browbone/inner eye highlighter, ‘YDK’ across my lids, ‘Tease’ right into the sockets, ‘Snakebite’ in the outer corners of my lids and ‘Blackout’ as a liner both above and below my eyes.
MAC Cremesheen in Creme in your Coffee – like your own lips but darker, and shinier, and just nicer in general.
Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes palette (only on brows) – Since I’ve dyed my hair darker, the darkest shade of this Benefit palette gives me eyebrows that match my hair. Always nice don’t you think?
No.7 Stay Perfect Mascara in Black – for someone blessed with barely existent eyelashes, this really is a god send! It comes off kinda weird and flaky when removing, but is easy to apply, and once on it ain’t moving one bit.
Real Techniques Core Collection brush set – so soft! I bought these after stroking the back of my hand with my friend’s buffing brush for about half an hour non-stop.
Urban decay ‘Shine On’ nail polish (part of a set) with Essie Matte about You topcoat – wearing nail polish because it’s half term and school can’t tell me not to 🙂
Let me know what you think of the slideshow!
