Had such a good time at the Mary & Milly bloggers event this week! They’re a newly(ish) opened boutique in Preston with one of those really cute and friendly vibes. And nice clothes. A few people there I’d met before, but it was great to meet other local bloggers too! Some who turned out to be very very local, and I’d never have known otherwise! The whole evening was basically lots of chatting and getting to know each other and general friendliness (and photo taking, obvs). Everyone else was a at least a couple of years older than me but it didn’t make any difference, which I love. We all introduced ourselves and most of the girls were at / had left uni, so it was good to hear their thoughts on stuff too, and just hang out!
Claire and I were there slightly early and grabbed a few snaps of the pretty nibbles and drinks Poppy had laid out – she did well in organising such a lovely event! We all had a glass of rose in hand in no time, such a good host. ;D She’s always been so welcoming whenever I’ve been in too, which if you read this post, you’ll know really stands out to me.
The event was the same day as we actually moved house so I had only the clothes on my back to wear at the time, which I was kinda boiling in once everyone was inside the little shop! I wore my H&M check shirt that goes with everything and handknit Beatrix peplum jacket, with leggings and a leather jacket that I forgot to include in my #mirrorselfie, dammit
M&Ms – the link with the shop name only dawned on me just before leaving! Talk about being slow sometimes…
Photobooth props, why not. These suit Rachelle anyway! We’ve met a couple of times before, always nice to see familiar faces!
The evening summarised haha! I was behind the camera at this point and a couple of others had already left so this isn’t quite the full crew pouting it out. I’m looking forward to seeing everybody again! Mary & Milly is a really cool boutique and I’m all for supporting the local brands with a more personal side, and this one definitely has that feel about it.
