my name necklace

Silver Lily necklace from My Name Necklace

I’m kind of a sucker for the cute little personalised items, as you might have noticed!  I was kindly offered a piece from MyNameNecklace.co.uk, who have a whole load of different name necklaces (obviously) amongst other personalised bits and pieces.  Some are more subtle than others, and whilst the chunkier statement ones do look pretty cool, I prefer the more discreet ones than feeling like I might as well be wearing a white sticky label with my name on, a la induction week.  Tiny-necklace-that’s-impossible-to-photograph it is!  I could never find my name on any of those personalised pens, mugs, keyrings etc as a child (‘Lilly’ was the best I could find and that wrong spelling is my pet hate!) but it seems to be far more common now.  Kinda prefer the dainty necklaces to gift shop keyrings though 🙂

How’s everybody’s week been so far?  I’m now realising that it’s about the time to actually get my act together and properly stop timewasting/procrastinating.  The number of times I feel like I’ve typed that is unreal but hopefully I’ll drum it into myself!  She says, drifting off to browse one of 10 tabs currently open… Anyway, I know that this time last year I was well underway with GCSE revision so I really should be cracking on with it for AS levels about now if I want to maintain some form of life during exam time.  Thinking slow and steady rather than manic at the end, hopefully!  My 5 hour textiles exam was today and I *think* it went pretty well, but I could’ve completely misjudged my work so who knows.  As exams go it was actually pretty chilled – I was expecting to feel the stress like the last 5 minutes in the Great British Sewing Bee (who’s been watching?) but I guesstimated a reasonable task to give myself so it wasn’t too bad.  I’d known one of the invigilators for years too and I know she reads this blog, hiya Liz!

I absolutely love this necklace! I’ve always wanted one with my name on but can never find one I really like. This is gorgeous though 🙂

This is really pretty! I like the understated bling the most and the fact you can customize it. I’ve never had anything personalized with the exception of some things with the letter A. =)

That necklace is gorgeous. I’m never able to get items with my name on it because it’s so unusual.
I’m a massive procrastinator as well! It will all come together eventually

Your name is unusual but lovely! Would look so cute on a necklace 😛
I don’t even know how I manage to waste so much time but it seems to be a talent of mine haha!
