Do you have those few pieces in your wardrobe that no matter how many times they’re worn, over how many years, you never tire of them? Â I’ve had this dress since I think 2010, and I must say 12 year old Lily had very good taste. Â It’s on the short side (and flimsy too) but I love the comfy loose floppy drapey swingy style. Â And this particular shade of blue is ‘my’ blue haha, seems to suit me! Â ‘Tis kind of a nightmare in that it’s incredibly creased after 20 minutes, but what can you do ey?
New favourite shoes, yay!  I was very kindly offered a pair of my choice from Clarks, and kinda felt like I was picking school shoes again when I went for this black flat pair.  Who remembers those big machines you used to stand on to be measured for school shoes before the beginning of each year?  I’d like to think these are a slightly more sophisticated choice than the ones with toys in the heels I chose once haha. 😛  Will be worn plenty anyway; I think they suit my style pretty well!  I think Clarks are pretty much known for their comfy quality shoes, which is always good as I do have a tendency to choose The Most Uncomfortable Shoes Of All Time and regret it afterwards, if you remember.  Sensible but trendy (did I really just say that word?), and with over the knee socks because they are my answer to every sartorial dilemma.

Since when did my hair get this long? Â I’ve been contemplating having a fair few inches chopped off as sometimes I think the long hair with a short(ish) fringe combo doesn’t really work, but now I’m seeing how long it looks (especially from the back) I know I’d regret it. Â Best just leave it for now, I don’t trust myself!
The return of the black fedora, surprise surprise! Â Even*slight* drizzle seriously doesn’t work well with my hair so needs must.
This chilled weekend was well needed!  My mock exams went fine so at least that’s over and done with.  I’m saying now that they went fine; ask me again on results day and my opinion may or may not be changed.  I slacked off on the workouts a little last week because I’ve been busy at home with other stuff but not to worry, back on it this week.  Might have did sleep through my alarm once or twice too; I swear I’ve become immune to it.  I can swipe that arrow across the screen in my sleep.  Good job I can get ready pretty quickly sometimes.
I feel like these last paragraphs are always little summaries of what I’ve been up to! Â Quite liking this habit. 🙂

22nd January 2015 at 6:04 pmLily you’re such a stunner… this is the cutest outfit – the shoes and shoes are TDF!! I’m sure I saw the same loafers on a lady on the tube yesterday – it was so crowded we had to do a lot of staring at the floor, so you notice people’s shoes. Love them, they’re a great choice 😉

P.S. Know what you mean about not noticing when your hair grows quickly – that’s the thing with having a blog, you can look back on six months ago and see the difference straight away!

22nd January 2015 at 9:51 pmAhh thank you Catherine! You’re too kind! Can think of much worse things to have to stare at than people’s shoes, they’re an endless fascination. 😛
Blogging does have strange perks doesn’t it! Can watch yourself change over the years 😀

24th January 2015 at 8:32 pmheyy Sarah! Thank you! I think I’m gonna stick with it for a while; every time I say I’m gonna grow my fringe I end up cutting it because it gets annoying anyway.
Thank you!
