long may it last

Teen girl wearing aqua coloured 60s patterned skirt from Top Shop

Meet ma new fave skirt. 🙂  I’d been eyeing it up in Topshop for a while (as creepy Topshop stalkers like myself do), umm-ed and ahh-ed over it for a while, then eventually caved in and got the goddamn skirt.  Who needs practical clothes!  Nice to inject a bit of life into your wardrobe with more statement items sometimes.  Florals for spring and that.  ‘Basics’ can get kinda boring after a while; even I can get sick of all white.  Just gotta think of other ways to style it now, besides with… white.  Thinking denim shirt maybe.  Topshop seem to be fab at the ‘too cute to pass up’ items, and even if I’m all for making my own clothes, I’ll still be a sucker for it.  This one actually fits without that annoying gape-y back thing too, which is unusual for this A line shape.

The Heels That Go With Everything, once again!  For such an unusual colour combination they seem strangely versatile.

Now just gotta hope this mini heatwave sticks around long enough to actually get some wear out of my new baby!  We Brits get a bit too excited about a couple of days of 22 degree warmth haha.  I’m such a sun worshipper.  Swear I should’ve been born in Australia or something.  Wanderlust hits me bad sometimes (I blame Instagram) and all I wanna do is go go go, but when the weather’s actually half decent here I’m happy to stay and lap it up!

Thank you so much Hollie! Would be nice if we could just relax knowing the good weather was set to stay for a while wouldn’t it! Bugs are the worst bit though 😛

Beautiful as always! I agree about us Brits and the weather too – as soon as it hits 21/22 degrees we’re all denim cut offs and slinky cami’s!x

At first I thought the skirt was kind of basic, but with nice fabric. A little plain. But…. then I saw the pockets!!! Oooo! Those are the best! That makes it extra special.

The pockets are the best part aren’t they! Very cute 😀
